Selection guide
How to choose
- QGIS ships a built-in Georeferencer (Layer › Georeferencer) for control-point georeferencing of scanned maps. Most plugins here extend it or offer a quicker freehand alternative.
- For DXF and other CAD drawings, choose an importer that keeps layers and lets you place the drawing with control points.
- For surveying-style input (azimuth and distance, COGO), look for tools that create features from bearings so measurements stay exact.
