Download georeferenced maps from any layer as GeoTIFF or MBTiles; supports bbox/center extents, zoom range or single-shot, neighbour padding, live estimates, and determinate progress

About

Custom Map Downloader is a QGIS plugin that enables high-resolution map export from any loaded layer. Export formats: GeoTIFF (single raster image with full georeferencing) and MBTiles (tile pyramid for web/mobile use). GeoTIFF mode: specify a center point, GSD, and dimensions; the plugin computes the map extent, renders at the requested resolution, and writes a geotagged TIFF. MBTiles mode: define an area (center+radius or bounding box), choose zoom levels or a single-shot export, and optionally expand the tile range with neighbour padding. Features include: 30+ CRS support, auto-detect minimum visible zoom, live tile count and size estimates, determinate progress bars with percentage, and support for satellite imagery, XYZ tiles, raster, and vector tile layers. Ideal for offline maps, simulation, training data, and custom analysis workflows.
