How to choose
- For land-cover classification on your own machine, start with the Semi-Automatic Classification Plugin, which downloads imagery, preprocesses it and classifies it in one place.
- For huge archives or long time series, use a cloud platform (Google Earth Engine, Sentinel Hub, Planet). Those plugins need an account and may have usage limits.
- Plan an accuracy assessment from the start: a separate validation sample matters more than the choice of classifier.
