Podaris tools for transport and accessibility analysis in QGIS. Our first tool downloads DfT Transport Connectivity Metric scores (unofficial, unaffiliated with the Department for Transport) for any area of England and Wales as a styled, ready-to-analyse layer.
About
Podaris is a growing toolkit of transport-planning tools for QGIS. Tools appear in the Processing Toolbox under the "Podaris" provider. The first is "Download connectivity data", which fetches DfT Transport Connectivity Metric scores (walking, cycling, public transport, driving; by journey purpose) for a chosen extent at grid100, OA, LSOA, LAD or Region level and loads them as a styled polygon layer. Please note: that connectivity tool is unofficial, created by Podaris and unaffiliated with the Department for Transport; the DfT has had no involvement in creating it. Data is fetched from the free Podaris connectivity API. A free API key is required and can be requested from within the plugin.
