MapInfo Project Importer for QGIS QGIS 4 compatibility

Not QGIS 4 ready Active

Not yet — the latest version declares max QGIS version 3.99.0, so it is not offered to QGIS 4 users.

Imports MapInfo TAB/MIF layers and WOR workspaces into QGIS, preserving embedded styles and restoring workspace layer settings where supported.

About

Imports MapInfo Native TAB datasets (.TAB/.DAT/.MAP/.ID, optional .IND), MIF/MID datasets, and MapInfo Pro WOR workspaces. Single-layer import keeps the source connected through the QGIS OGR provider and uses embedded feature symbology when supported. WOR import resolves Open Table sources, preserves original layer numbering, continues when individual layers are missing or unreadable, restores layer order and visibility, applies supported Global Pen/Brush/Symbol style overrides, restores supported labels, project CRS and map view, and reports skipped layers without aborting the remaining import. No external Python packages are required. Layout/Printer conversion is not implemented yet. MapInfo and MapInfo Pro are trademarks of Precisely. This independent open-source plugin is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Precisely. Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the rights to use, convert, and redistribute their source data.
