Clip2Place QGIS 4 compatibility

QGIS 4 ready Active

Yes — Clip2Place supports QGIS 4 (declared max version 4.99.0).

Clip vector layers to an extent centered on a place anywhere in the world - a rectangle or circle around a point settlement (city, town, village or hamlet), or an administrative boundary.

About

Clip2Place centers a clip extent on a single place - found worldwide via OpenStreetMap Nominatim search, entered directly as latitude/longitude, or picked from a layer already loaded in the project or from a folder on disk. Three extent shapes are supported: a rectangle sized from a chosen map scale (pick a common one or type your own) and paper dimensions (in mm/cm/in), a circle sized from a plain radius (in m/km/ft/mi), or the place's own administrative boundary - fetched automatically from OpenStreetMap Nominatim for a searched place, or picked as a feature from a boundary layer already in the project or on disk. The tool suggests a suitable projected CRS for the location (its UTM zone, always available worldwide, plus optional additional national/regional candidates when the pyproj library is present) and clips the chosen input layers to the extent. Besides the clipped layers, it also writes the extent itself as a polygon layer and as a line (outline) layer.
