Export Map to EMF QGIS 4 compatibility

Not QGIS 4 ready Active

Not yet — the latest version declares max QGIS version 3.99.0, so it is not offered to QGIS 4 users.

Exports the current map canvas to an Enhanced Metafile (.emf). Adds an entry to File > Import/Export, regardless of the QGIS UI language (including Danish).

About

Exports the current QGIS map canvas as a vector Enhanced Metafile (.emf), suitable for embedding fully editable, scalable graphics into Microsoft Word or PowerPoint. Internally the plugin renders the map canvas to SVG using QGIS's own map renderer, then converts that SVG to EMF using Inkscape. EMF is a native Windows format, so the conversion step requires QGIS to be running on Windows with Inkscape installed. The menu entry is inserted into File > Import/Export using QGIS's language-independent projectImportExportMenu()/addProjectExportAction() API (QGIS >= 3.30), with a fallback for older versions, so it appears correctly no matter what UI language QGIS is running in (English, Danish, etc.).
